"Behold, I make all things new." - Rev 21:5

Blessed

"For just as from the heavens the rain and snow come down and do not return there till they have watered the earth, making it fertile and fruitful, giving seed to him who sows and bread to him who eats, so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; It shall not return to me void, but shall do my will, achieving the end for which I sent it" (Isaiah 55:10-11).

The life of St. Clare of Assisi portrays to the generations to follow hers how important it is to renounce our worldly possessions. In my heart, I know that there is a deeper tugging at the Truth that we must be in constant denial of our selves. I have to realize that much of what builds me up, all that have been given to me must return to Him.

But God is so kind and loving that when he shares a piece of himself to us, that piece is to forever stay... it always "achieves the end for which [He] sent it." I can't find it in me to believe that God wants us to suffer for His sake. It just so happens that way. He calls us to a life filled with hope and prosperity because that's what His presence in our lives provides. When our trials tend to overwhelm us, His presence brings us the joy that allows us to keep going. When you live among people like you who tend to impose their own desire, their own means of survival on you, it becomes a necessity to learn how to give thing up, give way for others, and to simply just give.

Lord, I already know how much you provide for me, just please remind me always to never be afraid to allow you to do that. Thank you.
