Nice Guys

Nice guys or girls finish last. Or so they say. I beg to differ. Nice guys know what they want and no matter how long it takes for them to get it, they’ll get it. At least nice guys get to see more than just the endless tracks they run. As for the bad guys, all they will ever know is the same path they’ve been on because they run backwards always making sure they are ahead of the game. Pity.
I guess, my heart goes out to all the nice guys and girls who wait, who respect the respectable codes of chivalry or proverbial wisdom for ladies, who sit, wait, and pray for miracles, for the right time. Nice guys only seem to finish last in everyone else’s eyes because everyone else is so short-sighted. These NGs know what’s out there for them. They’re in it for the long run. This is my little piece to honor those nice people, to keep them running until they are at where they want to be.
My only hope is that these NGs will never give up on their knightly quests. They are the unsung heroes of our day and most especially in my heart. Their patience is overlooked and often mocked. Their passion is often mistaken for foolery. Pity. Everyone else is missing out. To all the nice guys and girls, grow selfless and more courageous and just be yourselves.
