"Behold, I make all things new." - Rev 21:5

5.09.2009

Blessed.

God, you are one crazy man. I don't even know where to start. Lately, my life has been all about school. Finish this project, study for that test. Then, research for scholarships and continue to pray for God's providence in all this... financial crisis that we're in.

Great news: About three weeks ago, I found out that I had received the Colin Bodensteiner Scholarship of $2,000. I know plenty of students had signed up for this and I also knew the great need each and every one of them had. God, however, decided that I would get it. Praise God, because that meant I had to look for only $8,000 more. In my whole high school career, I had never been able to realize the generosity of the community of Bishop Lynch High School, until I really had to apply for these scholarships and whatnot. $8,000 is a lot of money, but really, with the kind of people part of the community, I knew with a little bit more perseverance and determination to keep on attending BL, it would be possible to raise that amount.

Later that day, I spoke to our Business Administrator and asked the amount of financial aid I was receiving from school. She told me I was getting $3,000...That's $5,000 left.

I had decided to do the summer works program which will automatically pay off at least $1,200. That's... $4,000 left, right?

The B.A. (Yes, she is B.A... business admin.) called my dad on Friday and had personally told him that the Crowley Foundation will be paying $5,000 or however much is left that I have to pay. This means I don't have to pay a single cent of my tuition fee for next year - I may not even need to work.

My heart just literally... stopped beating. How can God be this good to me? I'm not complaining because I know what he's doing. This is one of the moments when He reassures me of how well he knows me - how my kind of thinking works. God, you are so good.

So now, I'm busting my booty even more for school. I can't wait to give back.

So if you're reading this and you're feeling like you're just in a i-have-to-settle-for-less-because-i-can't-afford-it. Don't you worry! Have hope, God will make a way.

:) amen.
